Gas prices across the U.S. have started to rise, gaining 12 cents in the past week. Prices on Monday averaged $2.13. Th3 27-day average price is still higher, at $2.81.

The Midwest region saw the largest increase in gasoline prices. Prices gained 14 cents, jumping up to $2.15 from last week's $2.01. New England saw the smallest increase in gas prices this week, seeing only a 6 cent gain in price.

As far as states are concerned, Ohio saw the largest increase in gas prices this week. In Ohio, prices are up 20 cents and consumers are seeing prices of $2.24 at the pump. Minnesota also saw a significant gas price increase. Prices in Minnesota are up 16 cents from last week to $2.17.
