US retail gasoline prices fell an average of three cents this week to hit $2.28, bringing the 27-day average price to $2.51. The Rocky Mountain and West Coast regions both saw drops of five cents and four cents, respectively. The lowest increase was in the New England region, with only a one-cent increase. The Midwest region saw the largest jump of six cents to hit $2.38.
Minnesota had a huge jump of 16 cents this week to hit $2.51. Florida was not far behind, increasing from $2.09 to $2.19. Only Washington and Colorado saw decreases of five cents and four cents, respectively.
