Our panel of cattle industry experts who make up the Monday Market Sentiment guessed a little high with an average guess of $137.10 per hundredweight. This week, the panel projects the 5-Area price to increase to $137.73.
Choice boxed beef increased slightly throughout this week, starting off on October 27 at $217.95 per hundredweight and moving to $219.61 per hundredweight by November 2. The 27-day average price now rests at $211.70.
Choice primal rib jumped during the week. Last week, primal rib kicked off October 27 at $339.04 per hundredweight and ended November 2 at $349.30 per hundredweight.
