Palmyra - F and T Livestock Market

Feeder Cattle Auction for 12/29/2014



Receipts:  92    2 Weeks Ago:  1263    Year Ago:  359



   Compared to the previous auction from two weeks ago, too few feeder

steers and heifers to establish prices.  Slaughter cows steady to

2.00 lower.  Light holiday receipts with the bulk of the supply cows.

Demand moderate.  Cows and bulls accounted for 70 percent of the run and

feeders 30 percent.  In the feeder supply, steers and bulls made up

approximately 60 percent of the run; heifers 40 percent; steers and

heifers over 600 lbs totaled around 40 percent.



Scheduling note:  Normal Monday sales every week in January, as long

as the weather cooperates.



   Feeder Steers and Heifers mostly scarce.

Breaking    70-80          109.00-114.50  115.00-117.50 100.75-106.25

Boning      80-85          105.50-110.00         113.50  99.00-104.50

   Slaughter Bulls:  Yield Grade 1-2  1350-2300 lbs 132.00,

Low Dressing 108.50-119.00.
