A woman notified Boone County Sheriff On Tuesday night that 28 head of cattle ready to go to the sale barn were missing as reported by the Harrison Daily Times.

A be on the lookout (BOLO) for a white Dodge pickup with a red or maroon open-topped cattle trailer was sent to agencies in Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. The missing cattle are valued at $15,000.

Deputy Robert Cutburth checked a residence where a trailer matching the description of the one used to steal the cattle was missing, no one was at the residence. A truck and trailer matching the description was seen heading south on Highway 7 driven by a man about 30 years old with a beard and hat, and a male passenger in his 20s.

Local auction barns are also on lookout for the cattle and trailer. If you have information regarding the missing cattle, call the Boone County Sheriff’s Office at (870) 741-8404.
