Authorities searched a farm northwest of Minneapolis and removed 47 dairy cattle kept in unclean conditions.

According to Deputy Tim Kantos, the farm in Stearns County, east of Sauk Centre was managed by one man and the work became too much for him to maintain. The cows were kept in standing manure with waste mixed in with the feed.

The sheriff intervened once the milk inspector stopped selling milk from the farm because of the dangerous conditions. The cattle will be taken to a nearby farm and restored to healthy conditions. Once they are healthy they will be resold.
