A Nebraska City man watching cattle for other individuals is charged with five counts of animal neglect after up to 30 head were found dead on his property reports The Nebraska City News Press.

Christopher J. Schram, 33, is charged with animal neglect on March 27. He started the spring with 170 head. The investigation followed a report by a heard owner who said 70 head kept on Schram’s land were missing.
