The FBI’s Chicago office investigated the Grundy County meatpacking business over the weekend suspecting immigration irregularities according to the Chicago Tribune.

The raid is related to an ongoing federal criminal investigation, but the FBI would not discuss the extent of the investigation.

The FBI made no arrests, but did take records and other documents from the plant and from a travel agency owned by the same person. The owner of the meatpacking plant processing lamb and goat was taken into custody from his home on Sunday.
