A Sagerton couple has been indicted by the Haskell County grand jury on one first degree felony charge each of hindering secured creditors. Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) Special Ranger Scott Williamson heads the investigation.

David Thomison, 51, and Amanda Thomison, 47, were charged after hindering a loan in the amount of $805,932.17 for cattle and equipment from Capital Farm Credit. The Thomisons could face up to a $10,000 fine each and/or up to life in prison.

TSCRA has 29 special rangers stationed strategically throughout Texas and Okla. who have in-depth knowledge of the cattle industry and are trained in all facets of law enforcement. All are commissioned as Special Rangers by the Texas Department of Public Safety and/or the Okla. State Bureau of Investigation.

TSCRA is a 132-year-old trade organization and is the largest livestock association in Texas. TSCRA has more than 15,000 members who manage approximately 4 million head of cattle on 51.5 million acres of range and pasture land, primarily in Texas and Okla.
