Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Wednesday, 1/7/15



On Wednesday trade was limited on good demand in the Southern Plains. Compared to 

Tuesday in the Texas Panhandle few live sales sold steady to firm at 170.00, with 

bulk of sales for the week from 168.00-170.00. In Kansas compared to Tuesday few live 

sales sold steady from 170.00-170.50. On Wednesday trade was moderate on good demand 

in Nebraska and the Western Cornbelt. Compared to the bulk of sales on Tuesday in 

Nebraska, live sales sold steady to 3.00 higher from 171.00-172.00, bulk at 172.00. 

Dressed sale sold steady at 270.00 with a few up to 275.00. Compared to the bulk of 

Tuesday's trade in the Western Cornbelt, live and dressed sales sold steady at 170.00 

and 270.00. In Colorado trade was limited on good demand. Thus far for the week a few 

beef type live sales have sold from 170.00-172.00, 1.00-3.00 higher than last week.
